Join Warner Bros. Discovery’s Ad Sales organization – the team that creatively develops cross-platform, client centric solutions across WBD’s portfolio of premium sports, entertainment and news offerings across networks such as TNT Sports, CNN, Food Network, HGTV, TBS, Discovery Channel and more. The Account Executive plays a critical role within WBD’s Ad Sales team and will be responsible for selling across the portfolio.

We are dedicated to driving the evolution of advertising, enhancing the fan journey, and unlocking impactful opportunities for our brand partners.

WBD is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Executive with expertise in both linear and digital platforms. We’re looking for an experienced media professional who excels in navigating monetization strategies and driving growth within an evolving landscape and effectively communicates WBD’s value to major brands.

In this role you’ll prospect new clients, expand existing relationships and craft innovative, multi-platform solutions that deliver measurable value for advertisers and fuel WBD’s business as the premiere partner of choice for advertisers.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and close new business with a focus on undeveloped or high-potential categories.
  • Grow existing business through account planning and retention strategies.
  • Deepen relationships with new and current clients as well as manage existing agency relationships to drive revenue.
  • Partner with strategy, research, branded content, production, editorial and client partnerships teams to deliver bespoke solutions.
  • Lead the competitive marketplace by operating with urgency and creativity.
  • Translate passion for WBD brand storytelling and the mission of journalism to the marketplace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 
  • At least 5 years of selling experience within the media and entertainment industry.
  • Strong understanding of the advertising landscape including linear, digital, and emerging platforms.
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering against sales goals in a fast-paced environment while embracing change and opportunities for growth.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset – creative thinker, results-oriented, skilled at developing fresh narratives and solutions that address client needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills demonstrating the ability to work seamlessly across functions to deliver integrated, high-impact campaigns.
  • Ability to confidently initiate, foster and maintain strong relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with expertise in structuring complex, long-term and non-traditional agreements.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $94,500.00 – $175,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
