IndieWire – Avid Ehrlich

Ari Aster’s Eddington is a dark, satirical Western set in May 2020, during the height of the pandemic and social unrest. It focuses on a power struggle between a defiant sheriff and a rule-enforcing mayor in a fictional New Mexico town. Critics praise its ambition and timely themes like misinformation and political division, but many find it overlong, self-indulgent, and tonally uneven.

IndieWire – Proma Khosla

Running Point is a Netflix sports comedy series that premiered on February 27, 2025. Created by Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, Elaine Ko, and David Stassen, the show stars Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon, a former party girl who becomes the president of her family’s professional basketball team, the Los Angeles Waves.
