Descriptive Video Works is a leading provider of audio description services for the audiovisual industry, catering to blind and low vision audiences. We are seeking experienced freelance Taiwanese language audio description narration scriptwriters who share our commitment to accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and/or proofread Taiwanese audio description narration scripts for film and television content.
• Meet deadlines as determined by DVW Project Manager and communicate any issues that could impact delivery.
• Ensure AD scripts meet DVW’s and client’s quality standards.
• QC/proofread AD scripts written by other writers.
• Collaborate with other writers in a team environment.
• Work remotely.
• Participate in occasional meetings and conference calls as needed.

Requirements

• Commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
• Native speaker of Taiwanese language.
• Minimum 1 year of Audio Description script writing or AD script QC experience.
• Mastery of Taiwanese written grammar and elements of style.
• Good English comprehension.
• Experience in media production an asset.
