The Only One Collective is made up of two sister organizations: SeaLegacy, our expedition and visual storytelling studio, and the Only One platform, the digital action hub for the ocean conservation movement. Our two organizations work together to amplify stories and campaigns that sit at the intersection of ocean health and social justice.
About the Post-Production Director:
Only One is looking for a Post-Production Director to perform all aspects of post-production with the ability to step in and execute any and all creative work as needed. They design and modify workflows and systems to suit the changing needs of the organization while informing pre-production and production teams based on a comprehensive knowledge of existing assets and the capacity of the post-production team. - Supervise editors, assistant editors, and external contractors involved with post-production in a fast-paced environment for a variety of projects with overlapping deadlines.
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Studio Production to establish post-production timelines, formulate detailed post-production schedules and manage them from start to finish.
- Work closely with the Growth Team.
- Create daily task lists for editors and assistant editors to relay direction and clearly prioritize primary and background tasks for the day/week.
- Utilize familiarity of Digital Asset Management systems to work closely with Digital Asset Manager to formulate in-house and remote proxy and native media post-production workflows.
- Act as quality control and last pass for all outgoing content.
About you:
The Post-Production Director is a dynamic leader with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a full-time senior/lead editor. They have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a full-time post-production supervisor and/or manager. Having a degree and/or certificates related to film, video, or visual arts is preferable.

- Knowledgeable of technical and creative industry standards.
- Nimble enough to help Only One hit its content cadence goals.
LOCATION
This is a full-time position based in Qualicum Beach, BC.
SALARY
$81,000 – $92,000 CAD ($65,000 – $75,000 USD) + benefits
