Full Job Description

Busy studio is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team as a Video Production Assistant. In this role, the Video Production Assistant will be assigned a variety of tasks that ensure that all productions, as well as general studio operations, run smoothly. The Video Production Assistant will report to the Video Production Coordinator. Candidates for the position are well-organized, skilled multi-taskers that are not afraid to get their hands dirty, and who thrive in a fast-paced studio production environment.

  • Perform general clerical duties to support directors, producers, and production managers.
  • Manage calendars and scheduling.
  • Provide telephone coverage; take messages and direct calls.
  • Maintain budgets and track billing.
  • Plan and coordinate events; handle catering and craft service on filming days.
  • Maintain production schedules and production calendars.
  • Organize off-site productions.
  • Arrange meetings and talent travel.
  • Generate and distribute call sheets; primary point person for communication with talent and crew.
  • Supervise production assistants and direct their daily activities.
  • Participate in short- and long-term planning aligned with goals set by managers.
  • Work with all departments that contribute to the production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, communications, marketing, management or related field.

Physical Functions:
Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

Work Environment : Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
Equipment Used : Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.
Language Skills : Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English
