Summary and Objectives:

The Knowledge Coop is looking for a video producer to oversee, film, and edit video education courses. These courses will be written by an in-house team of researchers and trainers and delivered to the camera on one of the Knowledge Coop’s studio sets. Courses will largely consist of on-screen conversations between two trainers or talking-head of individual trainers.

The Video Producer will oversee the pre-production, production, and post-production of educational video courses. This includes reviewing course outlines and scripts, formatting them into slide decks for on-set use, filming and monitoring studio sessions w/ an eye on both the production value and adherence to the course outline, and the editing of final video course products.

Requirements/Duties:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Video Production and/or 3+ years of hands-on experience in a video production setting
  • The ability to operate digital cameras, audio recorders, and lighting equipment.
  • Experience working with a team or crew to execute a video project.
  • 3+ years video editing experience.
  • Proficiency in any or all of the following software::
  • Final Cut Pro X
  • Apple Motion
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • PowerPoint
  • Apple Keynote
  • Ability to adapt a written course outline to the screen.
  • Comfortable with giving direction to on-screen talent (asking for retakes, identifying tangents, monitoring delivery, and energy levels)
  • A dry, witty sense of humor
  • An accompanying portfolio with relevant work.

Preferred but not required experience:

  • Acting experience, either in theatre or film. Willingness to act in skits or short films.
  • Experience editing long-form interviews
  • Photography experience
  • Copywriting Skills
  • Familiarity with the Housing Market and Mortgage Industry

  • A Knowledge Coop video producer is creative, down-to-earth, funny, resourceful, and willing to learn! No video project is beneath them, but they’re also ready to take on challenging new projects.
