Facebook is looking for an experienced Video Producer/Editor to create short-form video content for the Facebook AI Blog and social channels. This role will be part of the Facebook Technology Communications content team, which chronicles advances in the AI tools and systems used at Facebook as well as noteworthy new Facebook AI research projects that will drive the field of artificial intelligence forward. Our audience is the technical community of AI researchers and engineers and the tech reporters who cover our industry.

This person will shoot and edit video content to bring our technical work to life for an audience of researchers, engineers, and tech reporters. He or she will also partner closely with the video producers, directors, and project managers on our Technology Communications team’s Creative Department, in order to create video projects that are beyond the scope of a single producer/editor. Additionally, he or she will collaborate with key internal partners and stakeholders, including the AI Communications team, which guides our messaging strategy; our editorial team, which manages the Facebook AI blog and social channels; and Facebook AI researchers and engineers themselves.

In addition to being able to shoot, edit, and produce short-form (30-second to four-minute) videos featuring our AI researchers and engineers and their work, this person must have strong editorial judgement; script writing, editing, and project management abilities; and a knack for presenting complex technical concepts. This person will need to build strong internal relationships with multiple stakeholders to tell compelling stories about our work.

This person should work well in a fluid environment with multiple long-term and short-term editorial projects. He or she should have proven critical-thinking and project management skills. Being able to manage and work collaboratively on complex, cross-functional projects is important for this role.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
