About Us:

We operate four distinct tourism brands in Destin, FL, offering a variety of fun-filled experiences, including dolphin cruises, pirate-themed adventures, ziplining, rock climbing, and floating tiki bar cruises. We are passionate about creating exceptional memories for our guests while fostering an engaging, dynamic work environment.

Buccaneer Pirate Cruise (a subsidiary of Gulf Coast Adventures) operates an interactive children’s entertainment experience. The crew, dressed in authentic pirate garb, acts in a scripted stage show meant to maximize family fun by putting the passengers front row center in the pirate life. Kids participate in sword fights, water gun battles, hula hooping, face painting, and even pull a treasure up out of the water themselves.

Position Overview:

As a Crew Member, you are an essential part of the guest experience aboard our vessels. The crew is in character at all times during the cruise, and most crew members use a British accent (though not fully required). We dedicate ourselves to making memories that last a lifetime, and many of our passengers come back year after year with their tiny pirates. Along with the show, crew members must have situational awareness to ensure passenger safety. From greeting guests to maintaining a clean and enjoyable environment, your role directly impacts how our company is perceived. You will work closely with the vessel’s Captain and fellow team members to ensure every cruise is fun, safe, and memorable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet passengers, collect tickets, and ensure a warm welcome aboard.
• Stay in character and entertain passengers throughout the cruise.
• Stock and sell snacks, beverages, merchandise, and photos during each trip.
• Maintain vessel cleanliness before, during, and after cruises.
• Safely handle dock lines and assist in docking procedures.
• Be knowledgeable about all safety equipment locations and functions.
• Participate in safety drills and follow all shipboard emergency procedures.
• Support all operational needs as directed by the Captain or Reserve Captain.
• Lift and move items up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Help educate guests and assist with crowd control when needed.
• Be a team player and ready to assist fellow crew in all areas of the operation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Friendly and professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn about vessel operations and basic seamanship.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening (per U.S. Coast Guard regulations).
• Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a crew.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to guest satisfaction.
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.

Pay: $16.00 – $35.00 per hour
