Hybrid Videographer / Photographer

About the role

Join our dynamic team at Recap Media as a Hybrid Videographer / Photographer. This full-time role in our Brisbane office will see you capturing visually stunning content that captivates our clients and their audiences. From filming on-site to editing in post-production, you’ll play a crucial part in elevating our brand and delivering exceptional creative outcomes.

You will need:

• At least 3yrs experience as a Photographer / Videographer / Editor

• Own a car and have an unrestricted drivers license

• Confident on a mirrorless camera

• You know when broadcast quality is needed and when run-and-gun is called for

• Your editing skills include colour correction, music selection, sound design, creative editing and strong storytelling

• Confident in Final Cut Pro

• Confident in Adobe After Effects

• Innovative and thinking outside the box when it comes to AI, new processes and workflows for your creative output

• Ability to jump off the professional gear and film on a phone when necessary for the project (no ego’s here!)

• Continuously seeking out new techniques and technologies to improve your craft

• Impeccable attention to detail

• Ensure all deliverables meet Recap’s standard of quality

• You’ve got a good eye for lighting with the ability to get great results in both natural and studio lighting

• Solid live sound recording capabilities

• You’re a great photographer that can capture images in staged and candid settings

• You keep up with social media, are quick to jump on new trends, and are always looking for ways to make your content stand out

• You know how to take feedback onboard and quickly adapt to changing requirements

• You’re a confident communicator, well-presented and able to command a room

• Able to collaborate with clients / marketing teams to reach the best well rounded result

• Liaise with our clients to build rapport and make them feel at ease, enabling you to capture the best version of them on camera

• You can work to deadlines to meet project needs

• Happy to travel for the role (we have clients all over Australia)

2. A proven track record of high quality commercial work for real clients.

3. Demonstrated expertise in shooting and editing video and photo content

4. A strong creative eye and the ability to conceptualise and execute visually compelling content

5. Proficiency in industry-standard software

6. Time management and organisational skills to juggle multiple projects

7. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a close-knit team

8. A genuine passion for visual storytelling and a commitment to continuous improvement

9. Team members who chase the perfect sunrise shot instead of the 9-5
