Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented CCTV Camera Operator to perform underground utility inspections using closed-circuit television (CCTV) equipment. This role is responsible for inspecting sewer, storm, and utility pipelines, accurately documenting system conditions, and supporting maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction planning through detailed reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CCTV inspection equipment to inspect underground sewer, storm, and utility pipelines

  • Conduct pipeline inspections in accordance with project specifications and industry standards

  • Accurately identify, code, and document pipe conditions, defects, and structural issues

  • Record, label, and maintain inspection videos and digital data

  • Complete inspection reports using approved software and inspection codes (e.g., NASSCO PACP, LACP, or MACP if applicable)

  • Perform routine maintenance, setup, and breakdown of CCTV inspection equipment and vehicles

  • Assist with traffic control, manhole access, and job-site safety setup

  • Follow all safety procedures, confined space requirements, and company policies

  • Communicate findings clearly with supervisors, engineers, and project managers

  • Support other utility inspection or field operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CCTV inspection systems for underground utilities preferred

  • Knowledge of sewer and storm systems and pipeline construction methods

  • Familiarity with NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and video management

  • Ability to read maps, plans, and inspection layouts

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred in some roles)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and access manholes

  • Comfortable working around confined spaces and construction sites

  • Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position, typically Monday–Friday

  • Overtime, nights, or weekends may be required depending on project demands
