About the Role

Sequoia Financial Media is expanding, and we are looking for a multimedia producer to help drive our Sydney studio and deliver financial news in a multimedia environment for ShareCafe, Finance News Network and Sequoia Financial Media.

It is not just a video editing job. You will find yourself in the center of it all from studio operations, live shows, recording interview pieces, turn-around edits, ensuring everything gets put out clean, correct and on brand.

What you’ll be doing

You will own the entire process for delivering multimedia content, including:

• Studio production. Interview and news scene shooting and lighting with Canon cameras and professional audio;

• Live streaming: Use vMix + CueZ + Zoom to broadcast live webinars, web events and AGMs;

• Post-Production: Editing fast turnaround videos/audio in Premiere Pro, Motion Graphics & Animation in After Effects;

• Digital publishing : WordPress blog update, Photoshop editing for images, handling newsletters distribution;

• Content accuracy + asset management: Organise and protect content and make sure financial data is accurate;

• Performance tracking: Monitor what is working well and assist with enhancing the packaging and distribution of content.

Must have:

• Proven experience with vMix & CueZ (mandatory)

• Proficient at editing in Adobe Premiere Pro

• Confidence in working in live environments where things are happening fast

• Experience in camera & audio (preferably Canon)

• Strong attention to detail (notably with finances and branding requirements)

Nice to have:

• After Effects motion graphics skills

• WordPress Publishing Confidence and Basic Copyediting Skills

• Interest in the finance market (no need to be a trader, you simply have to be interested in the area)

• Readiness to travel across states sometimes for important events

• Your own equipment (useful but not required)

It helps if you can remain composed when the chips are down, that you are one of those people who can self organise and that you are the type to double-check before publishing. Then you can seamlessly transition between filming, video editing, publishing and admin work without losing your composure and can proudly put out high-quality work.
