StarMuse Entertainment is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and creative Freelance Costume Coordinator & Talent Manager to support our growing roster of live entertainment acts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys working with performers, and has an eye for costume quality, presentation, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
About the Role
As our Costume Coordinator & Talent Manager, you will oversee costumes, styling logistics, social media content capture, and talent scheduling for multiple events at a time. You’ll ensure performers are prepared, aligned with brand standards, and that key event moments are captured for online content.
This is an unconventional part-time role that blends remote work with onsite office time and event-day support. It’s perfect for someone who loves the events industry, is highly organized, and comfortable working flexible hours including evenings and occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain costumes, accessories, and styling elements for multiple entertainment acts.
- Coordinate fittings, costume prep, organization, and transport.
- Manage communication and scheduling for a roster of performers.
- Capture social media content (photos and short-form videos) during rehearsals, prep, and live events.
- Film behind-the-scenes clips for Instagram and assist with basic content organization.
- Support onsite talent and costume needs during events (travel required).
- Assist with inventory tracking, costume repairs, and general wardrobe upkeep.
- Work closely with the creative and operations teams to maintain brand standards.
- Attend the Etobicoke office twice per week; some remote work available.
- Provide on-call support for select evening and weekend events (not every weekend).
Requirements
- Must own a reliable car and be comfortable traveling to events across the GTA and surrounding areas.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events, tasks, and performers simultaneously.
- Proven reliability, strong communication, and professionalism.
- Experience in fashion, costume, theatre, dance, or events is an asset.
- Comfort using a smartphone to film social media content; basic understanding of trending formats preferred.
- Ability to manage and support groups of talent with confidence and leadership.
- Must be comfortable with part-time hours and variable schedules.
