Content Creator and Videographer Editor

BlackBull Digital is hiring a top-tier, full-stack Content Creator who can own the entire content engine end to end. This role is for someone who is weapon creative, deeply strategic, and capable of producing content that punches above its weight across every platform.

You will be based full-time from our Melbourne office at Canberra Field. This is not a remote or hybrid role. We want someone in the room, in the action, shipping world-class content every week.

If you are the kind of person who can research the market, build the strategy, write the scripts, shoot the content, edit it into high-retention assets, and push creative standards through the roof, this is for you.

The Role

You are a complete content creator, not just a videographer or editor. Your job is to take ideas from zero to published, at a volume and quality most people cannot touch.

What you will own

  • Content strategy and research

    • Study what is winning right now across social and YouTube.

    • Research competitor content, trend cycles, and platform algorithms.

    • Build content plans and creative directions that are designed to win attention and scale.

    • Bring concepts proactively with clear reasoning behind why they will perform.

  • Scriptwriting and pre-production

    • Write high-impact scripts that are structured for retention and conversion.

    • Develop hooks, payoffs, angles, and story arcs for short and long-form.

    • Prep shoot plans, shot lists, and creative briefs.

    • Collaborate with us on filming schedules and content priorities.

  • Filming and production

    • Film founder-led content, client case studies, internal content, podcasts, events, and everything in between.

    • Capture premium footage in real environments, not just studio setups.

    • Confidently run camera, lighting, and audio setups at a professional level.

    • Ability to direct on-camera talent to get the best performance and presence.

  • Editing and post-production

    • Edit short-form and long-form content to a premium standard.

    • Create high-retention edits with tight pacing, strong rhythm, sound design, captions, and visual punch.

    • Cut multiple short-form assets from long-form shoots with fresh angles and hooks.

    • Handle color correction, grading, and audio polish to keep the brand looking sharp.

  • High-volume weekly output

    • Deliver 30 to 50 premium reels per week minimum, without sacrificing quality.

    • Work fast with consistency, structure, and control.

    • Build a scalable editing workflow that still feels handcrafted.

This role covers the full spectrum of BlackBull Digital content, including:

  • Business growth and marketing content

  • Client case studies and results content

  • Founder-led social content

  • Podcasts and podcast clips

  • Event coverage and highlight edits

  • YouTube short-form and long-form

  • Internal brand content

  • Experimental and trend-adapted formats

If it needs to be filmed and distributed, you are across it.


What We Mean By “Weapon Creative”

We want someone who:

  • Is a storyteller first, editor second

  • Thinks naturally in hooks, retention, pacing, and payoff

  • Can create content that feels premium, modern, and culturally current

  • Understands trends but does not copy them

  • Can take a strategy and turn it into content that hits hard

  • Pushes creative quality up, not sideways

  • Is proactive, sharp, and obsessed with being the best in the room


Must-Have Experience (Non-negotiable)

  • Minimum 5+ years in content creation, videography, editing, or a similar role

  • Proven performance in short-form social content for brands, creators, or agencies

  • Portfolio evidence of at least 100 reels or short-form edits

  • Strong YouTube editing ability for both Shorts and long-form

  • High-level skill using:

    • CapCut or CapCut Pro

    • Adobe Premiere Pro

    • Adobe Rush

    • Additional tools welcome as long as output is elite

  • Strong production skills:

    • Camera operation

    • Lighting setups

    • Audio capture and clean recording

  • Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and platform-specific performance drivers

Bonus Points If You Have

  • After Effects or motion graphics for premium titles, kinetic text, and stylised sequences

  • DaVinci Resolve or professional color workflows

  • Direct-response creative experience

  • Experience filming founders, operators, and client-facing business content

  • A proven track record of content that consistently crosses high view thresholds
