Music Composer – Review Music

This role involves evaluating new music tracks, focusing on pop genres, and providing insightful feedback to help artists and producers understand their music’s strengths and market potential. You will listen to a variety of songs, assess their quality, and offer constructive comments on genre, style, and listener appeal. Your expertise will contribute to shaping the direction of new releases and ensuring they resonate with target audiences. Flexibility in project timelines is available, with delivery dates to be determined based on the volume of work.

Responsibilities

• Listen to and evaluate new music tracks, primarily within the pop genre
• Provide detailed written feedback on song quality, genre, style, and commercial appeal
• Rate each track using a standardized system
• Compare tracks to similar songs currently in the market and highlight unique features
• Identify strengths and areas for improvement in each submission
• Use audio editing tools, such as Studio One, to isolate or analyze specific elements of a track when necessary
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and consistency in evaluations
• Communicate findings clearly and professionally

Skills And Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in music evaluation, reviewing, or audio editing
• Strong familiarity with pop music trends and current market releases
• Proficiency with audio editing software, preferably Studio One or similar tools
• Excellent written communication skills for providing clear, concise feedback
• Ability to critically assess music from both technical and listener perspectives
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage flexible project timelines
• Passion for music and a keen ear for identifying potential hits
• Previous experience isolating or removing instruments from tracks is a plus
