JOB OVERVIEW

Part-time / Gig-based (with potential for long-term collaboration)

About Me:
I am a content creator focused on lifestyle and food content on YouTube and TikTok. My videos aim to educate and entertain beginner home cooks while sharing relatable lifestyle moments. I am looking for a creative, reliable video editor who can bring my vision to life and help me grow my channel.

Important Note:
This role is not full-time. My content is not produced on a fixed schedule, so work will be provided on a gig or as-needed basis. The right candidate should be comfortable with flexible, project-based work. However, if this is the right fit I hope for this to be a long term collaboration which would allow us to grow together

What I’m Looking For:
I need a skilled video editor who can:

Edit short-form TikTok videos (30-90 seconds) with engaging cuts, captions, and transitions.

Edit longer YouTube videos (8-20 minutes) in a clean, storytelling style with good pacing.

Add music, sound effects, and on-screen text where needed to keep viewers engaged.

Create eye-catching thumbnails for both TikTok and YouTube that reflect the content style.

Understand current social media trends and what makes content engaging.

Requirements:

Strong experience editing content for YouTube and TikTok (please provide samples).

Ability to create attractive, scroll-stopping thumbnails.

Familiarity with lifestyle and food content is a plus.

Must be detail-oriented, reliable with deadlines, and open to feedback.

Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar software.

Basic knowledge of aspect ratios and formatting for YouTube vs. TikTok.

Style Preference:
I prefer a classy, streamlined editing style – clean visuals, smooth pacing, and polished cuts that keep attention without being overly flashy or cluttered.
Nice to Have (Optional):

Experience with color grading and audio clean-up.

Experience adding subtitles/captions in an engaging style.

Knowledge of YouTube SEO best practices for thumbnails/titles.

Compensation:

Negotiable depending on experience and workload.

Please include your expected rate per video or monthly package in your application.

How to Apply:
If this sounds like a good fit, please apply with:

A short introduction about yourself and your editing experience.

Links to your portfolio/samples of past TikTok or YouTube edits.

Examples of thumbnails you have created.

Your proposed rate (per video or monthly).
