We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Video Editor to work across our arts focused content creation, including HENI Talks and our new art podcasts division.

This role combines traditional video editing expertise with specialised podcast content knowledge and social media optimisation skills. You will craft compelling visual narratives about art and artists while managing multi-platform distribution requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Editing

  • Edit video footage into compelling art documentaries and visual narratives with strong pacing, structure, and emotional impact
  • Collaborate with directors/producers on storyboarding, visual style, and tone development for art-focused content
  • Manage post-production workflows including sound design, colour grading, and graphics integration
  • Incorporate music, sound effects, and branding elements that complement art subject matter
  • Ensure consistent quality across all documentary episodes and podcast projects

Podcast Content Specialisation

  • Edit audio and video streams for art podcasts with understanding of conversational flow and pacing
  • Maintain authentic conversational style while enhancing clarity and engagement around art topics
  • Optimise podcast content for both audio-only and video viewing experiences
  • Apply strong storytelling instincts specific to art documentary and podcast formats

Social Media & Content Repurposing

  • Transform long-form content into engaging, shareable short clips optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other platforms
  • Apply branding elements, stings, subtitles, and sound design to social content
  • Manage upload processes and content delivery across all platforms
  • Stay current with digital trends and platform-specific best practices

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Proficiency in professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
  • Strong audio editing and mixing techniques
  • Experience with colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics
  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression for different platforms

Creative & Strategic Skills

  • Excellent storytelling abilities with strong narrative structure sense
  • Understanding of pacing, rhythm, and emotional flow in long and short-form content
  • Creative eye for visual composition, transitions, and effects
  • Ability to maintain brand consistency while adapting for different audiences

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of podcast landscape and industry trends
  • Knowledge of social media algorithms and content optimisation strategies

Ideal Candidate

You will combine technical video editing expertise with passion for art content, podcast production, and social media trends. You should be equally comfortable crafting a 60-minute art documentary and a 15-second TikTok clip about artists, understanding each format requires different storytelling approaches.

Perfect for an editor who thrives in fast-paced digital content creation and wants to be at the forefront of multi-platform storytelling.
