Job Type
At Scienseed, we don’t make ads for shopping centres, top retail brands, or your favorite beverages. We are a creative agency dedicated to science communication, constantly exploring new ways to explain complex issues such as climate change to policymakers, or how biotechnology and biomedicine can shape our future.
Through animations, videos, and campaigns, we translate cutting-edge research into engaging and accessible stories. Our portfolio includes projects ranging from a few weeks to several years, for clients such as major foundations, research centres, and technology start-ups.
We are now looking for a Motion Grapher & Video Editor to strengthen our creative team. Your role will be to collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to transform scientific concepts into visually compelling narratives. From interviews to explainers and video campaigns, you will help us turn complex ideas into impactful visual stories.
What we are looking for
We want someone who brings both skills and curiosity to the team:
- Experience: At least 3 years in video editing and motion graphics. You should already be confident in your craft, knowing both your strengths and areas to improve.
- Curiosity: Our projects are diverse and often groundbreaking—being naturally curious will make your work more rewarding.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities. You’ll also interact directly with clients to understand their goals and design preferences.
- Creativity: No two projects are the same. We value resourceful people who enjoy variety and problem-solving.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other tools for video and motion graphics. Familiarity with sound editing, color grading, and some graphic design is a plus.
- Languages: A good level of English and Spanish is required, as most of our clients and part of the team are international.
- Additional Value: Skills in filming, photography, design, and a passion for science, cinema, or design. Having a sharp eye and good taste is highly valued.
Requirements
- Degree in Graphic Design, Audiovisual Communication, Media Production, Film, or related fields.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong portfolio in video editing and motion graphics.
- Solid storytelling abilities, with a sense of pacing and rhythm.
- Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and platform best practices.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow.
What we offer
- A pioneering agency leading the science communication sector.
- A young, multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in journalism, design, labs, agencies, and both small and large organizations.
- Flexible schedule with a predictable 7.5-hour workday.
- Hybrid work model (2 remote days per week).
- Flexible vacation policy.
- Competitive salary: €25,000 gross annually.
