Your New Role: 

Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for a Project Manager to join our Technology & Operations team in Atlanta We are looking for that rare candidate preferably with a solid technical background and the ability to thrive with little process, direction, or oversight. This is a role inside a fast-paced environment where we are also building process and structure befitting a major corporate entity. This position will appeal to a person who is excited by end user experience and new technologies, while yearning to help shape project and portfolio management practices and contribute towards establishing the overall strategy of the Information Technology space. 

This project manager will manage technical projects within our Global Information Technology team. The ideal candidate organizes project timelines, secures commitments, manages risks, identifies the critical path, spots edge cases, reviews metrics & data, and monitors operations for the Technology Portfolio. They will also have the ability to switch effortlessly between these modes adapting themselves to the needs of their work streams. They are a strong self-starter and therefore have the ability to drill into business data and research results to identify clear direction and focus for their tasks and projects.

 
 

Your Role Accountabilities: 

OPERATIONS / PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

  • Manage technical projects from concept to production, including planning, execution, and retrospectives. 

  • Organize project timelines, secure commitments, manage risks, and monitor operations. 

  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. 

  • Track budgets, adjust forecasts, and report on financial performance. 

  • Create and maintain core documentation to support planning and risk management. 

STRATEGY 

  • Align projects with organizational and corporate goals. 

  • Contribute to the development of IT strategy and project portfolio management practices. 

  • Drive process improvements and tool deployment across the technology organization. 

  • Provide input into strategic decisions and share knowledge across teams. 

COMMUNICATION & LEADERSHIP 

  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language. 

  • Lead by influence in a matrixed environment. 

  • Confidently present data-driven insights and project updates to senior leadership. 

 

Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously. 

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and documentation. 

  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, CI/CD, Waterfall). 

  • Technical background in engineering or related field;  

  • Experience with IT systems including ITSM, InfoSec, Networking, AV, Messaging, and Telephony. 

  • Ability to travel occasionally, including weekends. 

**Atlanta area based candidates will be prioritized for review as relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
