The role: as VFX Production Coordinator you will play a crucial role in the day to day running of a project. Alongside supporting rounds, dailies & client reviews, you will also be responsible for maintaining the schedule across your Department/team ensuring that deliveries are on track and targets are clear.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To liase with the Production Assistant, Editorial & DSA teams to ensure all that material received from the client is correctly downloaded & shared with the team
  • Review weekly targets & schedule requirements with the Lead to ensure that all tasks are assigned and communicated clearly within the team
  • Works closely with a team of artists to maintain a delivery schedule and checks in on task progress via rounds
  • Drives dailies session to ensure material is presented according to deliveries alongside communicating targets so time remaining is clear
  • Takes notes in dailies/rounds/client reviews, shares feedback with the team & updates in the Production database
  • Ensures Production scheduling database is kept up to date with assignments, task delivery dates and accurate ETAs of when work will be delivered
  • Escalates potential schedule delays to the Production Manager and strategizes with the Lead to find possible solutions to keep the deliveries on track
  • Communicates clearly & effectively with upstream and downstream Departments so all teams are aware of when material will be ready & can be picked up
  • Gathers & prepares material for client sends alongside the Production Assistant so all material is ready to be processed
  • Helps chase & escalate any show blockers such as software tickets or renders that could impact delivery
  • Monitors and supports the render farm so critical deliveries are prioritized & render requirements are clear
  • SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Clear & confident communicator
  • Solution orientated problem solver
  • Maintains a positive & proactive approach to team work
  • Able to priorities conflicting tasks
  • Solid understanding of the VFX pipeline, processes and tools
  • Ability to liaise & collaborate effectively with artists, Production team & support teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge in Excel alongside a proficient understanding of formulas & pivot tables
  • Self motivator that is able to use their initiative to resolve issues

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the VFX industry at Production Assistant level or higher (within either Film or Episodic team)
  • Experience of working with VFX Production tools such as Shotgun or ftrack.
