Duties & Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Photographer/Videographer is responsible for capturing and processing high-quality images and videos of our clothing products, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our visual identity both online and offline, ensuring that each photograph and video accurately represents our brand’s aesthetic and engages our customers. In addition, you will liaise with modeling agencies and be actively involved in booking models for various shoots, ensuring we have the right talent for our creative direction.

Responsibilities:

• Shoot exceptional, high-quality product images and videos with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
• Curate and select images and video content that best represent our brand aesthetic for website uploads, marketing campaigns, and social media.
• Administer and organize all photographic and videographic content within our in-house content management system.
• Prepare and process images and videos utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring optimal quality.
• Develop and storyboard the visual narrative for briefs in collaboration with the creative team.
• Create mood boards that shape the aesthetic direction and ensure alignment with brand objectives.
• Plan and structure key shots and video sequences, considering timelines and production activities for a seamless execution.
• Evaluate and adjust studio and product lighting, backgrounds, moods, dimensions, and set arrangements to ensure the best photographic and videographic outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with stylists and the buying team, to deliver consistently excellent photographic and video results.
• Maintain equipment and studio space, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient working environment.
• Create high-quality video content for product launches, fashion shows, or marketing campaigns, ensuring all footage aligns with the brand’s image and objectives.
• Edit and enhance video content, including colour correction, sound, and transitions, to meet industry standards and brand guidelines.
• Liaise with modelling agencies to source and book models for various shoots, ensuring the talent aligns with the creative vision of the brand.
• Assist in the coordination of model bookings, including negotiating terms and organizing schedules for shoots.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications:

• Matric certificate.
• Relevant qualification or diploma in Photography, Videography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in commercial photography and videography within the fashion industry.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to photography, videography, and editing.
• Demonstrated experience in product styling.
• Proven administrative and organizational skills.
• Strong retouching and image editing experience (Adobe Creative Suite).
• Practical knowledge and experience in studio lighting setups and photographic techniques for product photography.
• Experience in shooting and editing product images and videos specifically for e-commerce platforms is highly advantageous.
• A genuine passion for fashion and up-to-date knowledge of fashion industry trends and developments.
• Experience in liaising with modelling agencies and booking models for shoots.
