About Immaculata Television Limited:
Immaculata Television is a Kenyan digital media apostolate promoting the traditional teachings of the Catholic Church. Our mission is to restore all things in Christ through evangelization, education and inspiration rooted in our programming.
From the Traditional Latin Mass, Daily Rosaries, Marian Devotions, Pilgrimages, Sacred Music, Catholic Conferences, Catechesis, Catholic Bible Study, Children’s programming, Interviews, News and more, Immaculata TV is in pursuit of preserving our sacred tradition to draw souls to the One True Church through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Position Overview:
Are you looking to work in an exciting and faith-driven organization where you will be part of telling the catholic story? If this is you, we are looking to hire a versatile and talented Editor and Videographer who has the ability to tell our stories creatively while working within set timelines to deliver projects promptly.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Photography and videography
· Operate professional studio equipment such as cameras, lights among others to capture live and pre-recorded interviews, Masses, events, shows etc.
· Ensure proper framing of subjects, angles, lighting and audio-visual content.
· Oversee proper handling and storage of studio equipment.
· Preform all photo and video coverage sessions in-studio and on location.
· Work closely with the creative Director to ensure the footage is reflective of the mission and vision of Immaculata TV.
· To support in the development of copy and content relevant Immaculata TV. This will include articles on the Faith, the Mass, Rosary, relevant news etc.
Editing:
· Technical proficiency: Leverage the use of effective editing tools such as Davinci, Adobe etc to create compelling content.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure the final product aligns with the goal of the station.
· Storytelling: Have a knack for the type of editing that captivates and tells a story to evoke the desired emotions and intention.
· Organizational Skills: organize, and store footage for easy retrieval.
· Graphics: Ability to perform basic graphics.
Skills and Qualifications
· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Broadcasting, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or any other related field
· 3-5 years of experience in camerawork, editing using simple and sophisticated tools such as Davinci Resolve and Adobe Premier.
· Good camera, editing skills and ability to structure shots and lighting for various set productions.
· Ability to work efficiently and with flexibility for both studio and on-site productions,
· Self-starter, creative and innovative skills.
· Excellent communication skills.
