Owned by FOX Corporation, FOX News Media reaches 200 million people each month.JOB DESCRIPTIONFox News Media is seeking a dynamic and hardworking Production Assistant to join Fox Nation! As the Production Assistant, you will work with a production team on all aspects of long-form documentary-style production, from concept to completion, in the genres of True Crime and Justice. You will assist with research, scripting and creativity in the edit room as you compile elements that create compelling stories.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with story research, scriptwriting, field shoots, obtaining archival video, and managing rights and clearancesScreen, transcribe, and log footage as well as manage media from field productionsWork alongside other departments throughout Fox such as legal, finance, graphics, and field productionBook and pre-interview guestsPartner with video editors to locate footage and elements to turn written scripts into finished productionsInterface with talent when neededArrange travel and logistics for shoots across the countryWHAT YOU WILL NEEDA Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experienceFlexibility to travel and/or work long hours and weekends when requiredAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environmentAbility to work under tight deadlinesStrong storytelling skills with the ability to write, edit, and review written contentExcellent organizational skillsPositive attitude and team player spiritExperience with live streaming/TV programming is a plus!We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
