Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Videographer & Film Editor to lead the development of high-quality educational video content. This role is ideal for a hands-on filmmaker with a strong eye for storytelling, technical excellence in video production, and a passion for making complex topics accessible and engaging.

You will be responsible for planning, filming, editing, and delivering educational videos, working closely with content strategists, educators, and subject-matter experts to ensure clarity, quality, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, storyboard, and film educational content in a range of formats (tutorials, explainers, interviews, animations, etc.)
  • Direct on-location and in-studio shoots, managing lighting, sound, and camera setup
  • Edit raw footage into polished final videos, ensuring clarity, pacing, and style are aligned with the brand’s tone
  • Add graphics, subtitles, and animations to enhance educational clarity and engagement
  • Collaborate with content and curriculum teams to align video output with learning objectives
  • Manage and maintain video production equipment and digital asset libraries
  • Ensure all content is optimised for various platforms (YouTube, LMS, social media, etc.)
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in online education, video production techniques, and editing tools

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in videography and video editing, with a strong portfolio of educational or documentary-style work
  • Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Experience operating DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lighting setups, and audio equipment
  • Strong storytelling skills and understanding of how to simplify complex subjects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet production deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for audio-visual quality

Desirable

  • Background in education, e-learning, or corporate training
  • Animation or motion graphics experience (After Effects, Canva, or similar)
  • Familiarity with YouTube SEO, video metadata optimisation, and thumbnail design
  • Experience using teleprompters and multi-camera setups
