You are a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You are comfortable working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You have an interest in news and want to pursue a career in tv. As the Production Assistant, you have a ‘good eye’ for what leads to the most creative and compelling TV screen.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESPitch story ideas relevant to the Big Money Show themesCut relevant video and sound for segmentsHandle graphic elements for the show and social mediaSupport senior staff in the newsroom and control roomInteract with and support on-air talentDevelop news writing skills and work towards producing segments independentlyHelp book guests for show segmentsWHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experienceA passion for current events and business newsKnowledge of newsroom functionsFamiliarity with digital editing platforms, such as Dalet and iNewsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong social media skillsExcellent time-management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlinesWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
