Video Editor – Video Games

3Sigma-studios is a start-up specializing in video games based in Budapest.
The company is part of a larger group diversified in several activities and several countries which guarantees its financial stability.
We develop video escape-games and each game requires one hour of gameplay. We have about twenty escape games waiting for video post-production work., Full-time | On-site | Budapest (City Center)
We’re looking for a Video Editor to join our creative team! As a Video Editor at 3Sigma you will work closely with our in-house video team and 3D artists to edit and finalize video footage, ensuring it aligns with the creative vision of each product. This role requires a blend of technical skills, creative vision, and a forward-thinking approach to video creation, as it comprises integration of live action video footage (real actors shot on green screen) and 3D environment.
This is a full-time, in-office position in the heart of Budapest.
Responsibilities:

• Video Editing: Assist in the editing of raw video footage to create engaging, visually appealing, and cohesive narrative video content for our games. Main software: Davinci Resolve.
• Media Management: Organize and manage video files, ensuring all assets are easily accessible and properly labeled and stored
• Audio Editing: Edit and mix audio tracks, including music, sound effects, and voiceovers to achieve optimal sound quality. Main software: Davinci Resolve/Fairlight.
• Color Correction and Grading: Perform basic color correction and grading to ensure consistency and visual appeal throughout video projects. Main softwares: Davinci Resolve and After Effects (Lumetri).
• Workflow Innovation & AI Integration: Actively explore, test, and implement AI-powered editing tools and features to streamline workflows, enhance creative output, and push the boundaries of our storytelling.
• Creative Input: Contribute creative ideas and suggestions for improving video content and storytelling, staying current with platform trends and new editing techniques.

, Requirements:

• Confident skills in Davinci Resolve (or equivalent software);
• Familiarity working with After Effects;
• Strong understanding of narrative pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling;
• Basic knowledge of sound editing;
• Good communication and teamwork skills;
• English – B1 or higher (daily communication with the team);
• Be comfortable working with adult content, as some of the games might contain sensitive material.

• Bachelor’s degree in film production, video editing, or related artistic field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience with the keying tools of After Effects, such as Keylight, Key Cleaner, Color Range, etc;
• Experience with other VFX and animation tools in After Effects or similar software;
• Knowledge of sound mixing and mastering (Ableton Live, Pro Tools or similar DAW);
• Familiarity working with Adobe Photoshop.
