We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Mid-Level Video Editor and Content Creator to join our dynamic content team at Race Coast, Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse. This role demands proficiency in editing both long-form and short-form content tailored for social media platforms and broadcast channels. The role includes time behind the camera, as an operator for shoots. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering top-quality work with minimal supervision, ensuring content aligns with our brand’s voice and engages our diverse audience. The Video Editor and Content Creator will report to the Digital Strategy and Content Manager.

What You’ll Do
Video Editing: Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos suitable for various platforms, ensuring a cohesive narrative and high production value.
Colour Grading: Apply advanced colour correction and grading techniques to enhance visual storytelling and maintain brand consistency.
Sound Design: Integrate sound effects, music, and voiceovers to enrich the auditory experience of the content.
Collaboration: Work closely with multiple teams, including the content team, marketing and events team, to understand project objectives and deliver on creative briefs.
Content Filming: Participate in on-site filming, capturing high-quality footage that meets production standards.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Ensure that our Race Coast Western Cape brand is protected and represented professionally at all times.
Any other such duties that might be required.
What You’ll Need and What We’re Looking For
What You’ll Need
- Matric/ Grade 12/ Equivalent (required).
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in motion design, filmmaking, digital film production, marketing or relevant field (advantageous).
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite) (required).
- Software Proficiency: DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, AI integration platforms (advantageous).
- A clear criminal and credit record.
- Physically fit and able.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing a range of projects such as live video editing, documentary work, social media work across different formats and platforms.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard editing software with robust color grading capabilities.
Filming Expertise: Experience in operating cameras and understanding of cinematography principles. Drone experience is a bonus.
Sound Design: Ability to implement basic sound design elements to enhance video content.
Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams and adapt to varying project requirements.
Flexibility: Flexibility concerning working hours. Flexibility with the adaptability to multitask.
Communication: An individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
