Your role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing digital initiatives that involve clipping segments from current affairs, audio and entertainment programs for Radio-Canada social platforms, while ensuring the smooth production and editing of social videos.

Key responsibilities:

Help clip and edit segments from Radio-Canada programs for promotional and audience engagement purposes.

Develop creative short videos that align with marketing goals and the conventions of each social media platform.

Package the material per French Services video standards for program content as well as corporate standards and policies.

Assist with captioning videos and video clips in a level of French that meets Radio-Canada language standards.

Work closely with internal partners to support them in developing, validating and launching interactive experiences.

You will stay current on developments in social content promotion and other related fields.

What you bring:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications or equivalent

Three (3) or more years’ relevant experience designing promotional elements for social media

Skills:

Good general knowledge and extensive knowledge of content marketing and social platforms

Writing ability; excellent knowledge of grammar and syntax

Ability to work as a team player

Proficiency with the following tools: video editing software and production equipment (camera, smartphone, lighting, etc.)

Ability to handle stress and pressure during busy periods

Editorial ability to select relevant items for posting online as well as adapt, summarize and add to them as required
