Social Media Content Creator – Photo & Video Editor

• Edit and retouch photos using Lightroom, Photoshop, or Canva to meet brand standards.

• Create eye-catching Pinterest pins, Instagram posts, and YouTube thumbnails.

• Film and/or edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, Pinterest Idea Pins, and YouTube Shorts.

• Edit longer videos for YouTube including trimming, transitions, subtitles, and branded intros/outros.

• Repurpose content across formats and platforms.

Platform Optimization

• Design content specifically tailored to each platform’s dimensions and engagement trends.

• Use platform-specific features (hashtags, captions, tags, keywords) for maximum reach.

• Maintain a cohesive visual identity across all social channels.

Planning & Strategy

• Work alongside the social media manager to develop monthly content calendars.

• Participate in content brainstorming, scripting, and creative direction.

• Stay up to date on design and video trends across platforms.

Communication & Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal teams or clients to understand content needs.

• Take creative feedback positively and adjust designs or edits quickly.

• Communicate timelines and deliverables clearly and consistently.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in social media content creation, editing, or digital marketing

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar video editing tools

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Lightroom, and Canva for photo editing and graphic creation

• Knowledge of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest Idea Pins

• Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling

• Familiarity with YouTube and Pinterest SEO

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Animation/motion graphics with After Effects or Canva Pro

• Experience in lifestyle, travel, food, or fashion niches

• Experience with scripting or voiceover for video content
