Senior Videographer and Producer

The Senior Videographer & Producer is responsible for planning, producing, and editing compelling video content that supports
Centre College’s strategic marketing and communications goals. Reporting to the vice president, the position collaborates closely with
campus partners and the Communications team to deliver high-quality videos for recruitment, fundraising, institutional storytelling, and
community engagement. The Senior Videographer & Producer serves as a key creative contributor, shaping visual narratives that reflect
the distinctive Centre experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Leads the creative planning,
production, and post-production of video projects that align with the College’s brand identity and strategic goals. - Collaborates with writers, designers, and digital content staff to tell authentic stories that support admissions, advancement, and
institutional priorities. - Coordinates with campus clients and the project manager to manage project timelines, approvals,
resources, and logistics from pre-production through final delivery. - Manages all aspects of video production, including camera
operation, lighting, sound, editing, color correction, captioning, and file delivery. - Edits raw footage into polished, engaging
videos using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred); integrates motion graphics, sound design, and visual effects when
appropriate. - Captures live events, interviews, b-roll, and campus life footage for video projects, including for use on different
social media channels, the web site, and at events. Filming may occasionally take place during evenings and weekends. - Ensures all
video content meets accessibility, copyright, and brand standards, including captioning and alignment with WCAG guidelines. - Helps
identify and shape new video storytelling opportunities across departments to support strategic communications and engagement. - Archives and organizes footage and final video products using the College’s Digital Asset Management system for easy retrieval and
long-term use. - Collaborates with the digital team to evaluate performance metrics and adapt future video content based on audience
engagement. - Maintains and recommends video production equipment and software; ensures proper care and storage.
- Supervises
and mentors student video workers when assigned. - Demonstrate an appreciation for and sensitivity to a diverse academic community,
fostering an inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff from a variety of social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial, and
ethnic backgrounds.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree
preferred. - At least five years of professional experience in video production, ideally in a higher education, nonprofit, or agency
setting. - Portfolio or demo reel required at the time of application.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in all aspects of video production and post-production, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and editing software
(e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro). - Strong visual storytelling, editorial, and narrative development
skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and clients with minimal supervision.
- Experience with motion
graphics and animation is a plus. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across departments and with
a variety of stakeholders. - Understanding of accessibility requirements and inclusive storytelling practices.
- Familiarity
with Digital Asset Management systems is helpful.
Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. of video equipment.
- Ability to stand or move for extended periods during
video shoots. - Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to cover events.
