Introduction

The Multimedia Specialist plays a key role in elevating the company’s brand and communications through high-quality, engaging visual content. This position is responsible for the end-to-end creation and production of multimedia assets.

The Multimedia Specialist combines creative flair with technical precision to produce compliant, on-brand content that enhances the company’s visual storytelling. The ideal candidate has advanced technical expertise in videography, video and photo editing, and graphic design, along with a strong understanding of content planning and visual narrative flow.

This is a hands-on role for a versatile and proactive creative professional who can manage multiple deadlines and contribute meaningfully to the company’s strategic communication goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

Pre-Production & Planning

  • Interpret creative briefs and develop shot lists, storyboards, and schedules.
  • Conduct technical location recces to assess lighting, audio, and camera requirements.
  • Determine correct formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions based on platform and output needs.

 

Camera Operation & Lighting

  • Operate professional video equipment
  • Set up and manage 
    • lighting systems
    • Green screen and backdrop setups
  • Select lenses and frame compositions for interviews, b-roll, events, and motion shots.

 

Audio Capture

  • Use professional-grade microphones and recorders.
  • Monitor live audio during shoots and reduce ambient noise or interference.
  • Ensure proper audio syncing and file organisation for post-production.

 

Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit video content using industry-standard software such as:
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Final Cut Pro
    • DaVinci Resolve (for colour correction and grading)
  • Perform:
    • Advanced colour grading and colour balancing
    • Sound editing and noise reduction
    • Smooth video transitions
    • Subtitling and captioning
    • Content sequencing and visual flow editing
  • Apply version control and organise timelines and assets efficiently.

 

Media Management & Output

  • Label, archive, and back up all media assets for easy retrieval and future use.
  • Deliver content in multiple formats for various platforms.
  • Ensure compression and export settings preserve quality without affecting load times or compatibility.

 

Review, Feedback & Re-Editing

  • Submit video drafts and content to relevant stakeholders and management for review and approval.
  • Implement feedback and revisions as per management and compliance recommendations, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand tone, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain an efficient revision workflow, version control, and documentation of changes.
  • Adapt quickly to feedback across multiple iterations, while maintaining technical quality and creative integrity.

 

Technical Accuracy & Compliance

  • Ensure all published content:
    • Is factually accurate and approved by compliance/legal teams.
    • Meets branding and corporate tone standards.
    • Adheres to financial services regulations and internal publishing protocols.
  • Maintain metadata, usage rights, and version tracking for all files.

 

Photography:

  • Capture high-quality images for use in marketing materials, social media, and websites.
  • Edit and retouch photos to meet brand standards.
  • Organize and maintain a digital library of images.
  • Conduct photoshoots for products, events, and corporate portraits.

 

Graphic Design:

  • Create visually appealing graphics for use in videos, websites and social media, and print materials.
  • Design layouts, logos, and other branding elements.
  • Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and visual identity.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce cohesive multimedia content.

 

Social Media & Online Marketing Support

  • Design platform-specific content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Create visuals for responsive websites and mobile apps.
  • Produce banners and headers for email marketing and digital ads.
  • Translate complex financial or compliance topics into engaging visual formats.

 

Collaboration & Project Coordination

  • Work with writers, designers, marketers, and digital teams to deliver cohesive content.
  • Accept and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders with professionalism.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all assets, aligned with marketing calendars and promotions.

 

Asset & Workflow Management

  • Maintain well-structured file systems (Google Drive, SharePoint, Adobe Cloud).
  • Ensure usage rights and licensing compliance for all visual and audio content.
  • Help manage and evolve brand design systems (typography, icons, UI elements).
  • Update project status and communicate effectively using project management tools.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Film Production, or related field.
  • 5+ years of solid experience within videography, video editing, photography, sound
  • editing and a firm exposure of 2+ years within graphic design
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Experience with sound editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity).
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing skills in videography, photography, sound editing, graphic design, and video editing.
  • Advanced editing experience with regards to:
    • Advanced colour grading and colour balancing
    • Sound editing and noise reduction
    • Smooth video transitions
    • Subtitling and captioning
    • Content sequencing and visual flow editing
  • Excellent creative and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
