Video Editor

About Us – Smallshop Communications is a Singapore-based production house specialising in TV commercials, short films, and corporate videos. We’re a close-knit team passionate about crafting visually impactful content with bold, creative execution.

The Role – We’re looking for a Video Editor with an eye for detail, a flair for visual storytelling, and solid technical ability. You’ll collaborate closely with our Executive Producer, Directors, Post Producers, and post team to create engaging content across commercials, digital platforms, and short films.

Responsibilities

1. Craft edits from raw footage to final cut, with a strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and visual clarity
2. Handle transitions, audio syncing, and light VFX; experience in colour grading is a bonus
3. Go beyond templates — approach challenges with creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to explore new techniques
4. Organise and manage project files, media assets, and backups efficiently
5. Tailor edits to suit a range of creative styles and client expectations

Requirements

1. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) and DaVinci Resolve.
2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
3. Strong portfolio that showcases both technical and creative range
4. Solid understanding of pacing, rhythm, and visual structure
5. Proactive, deadline-driven, and communicates well
6. A team player who’s also comfortable working independently
7. Keeps up with editing trends and industry best practices

Nice to Have

1. Diploma or Degree in Film, Media, or a related field
2. Experience in colour grading or basic online editing is a plus
