THE ROLE
BBC StoryWorks, BBC Studio’s global creative content division, is seeking a creative strategist to support the StoryWorks APAC in developing and delivering innovative and high-quality content solutions across existing and prospective client portfolio.
We are looking for a highly creative, collaborative, and adaptable content strategist who can capably work inside a matrix of stakeholders to develop creative strategies that maximize quality brand storytelling across BBC owned platforms.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
As a BBC StoryWorks content strategist, you will build on the BBC’s award-winning global expertise by creating multi-format storytelling that captures audiences’ imagination and provides maximum ROI for brands. You will:
Respond creatively to client briefs with innovative ideas.
Collaborate with in-house and outsourced creators to executive produce high-quality digital native content across multiple formats.
Defend creative strategies to ensure maximum quality working with client stakeholders.
Lead, motivate, and coordinate with external creators while ensuring deadlines are met.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the highest quality of work to BBC standards.
Be open to flexible working and potential travel for production projects, especially across APAC markets, including China and Japan.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
Minimum 5-9 years experience in social, content, or digital strategy. Agency or brand experience is a plus.
Experience as a Producer or Executive Producer in video production, with a thorough understanding of post-production and editing processes.
Confident presentation skills and the ability to communicate creative concepts passionately and effectively.
Strong experience in copywriting, scripting, and executive producing multi-format content.
Experience in working with native/client-funded content/content marketing.
Excellent people, client, and communication skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and flexible.
Ability to work with vendors and commission on vision, on budget, and on deadline.
Must be entrepreneurial, a problem-solver, detailed reader/line editor, and creative thinker.
Exemplary insights-led pitch development, strategy decks, and presentation skills.
Deep understanding of current social, branded content, digital, mobile, and tablet landscapes.
Experience with the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) is a plus.
