Job description

POSITION SUMMARY : We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Video Production Assistant to support the creation of compelling video content. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in video editing, media management, and production techniques, as well as a creative eye for visual and special effects. This role is a great fit for a highly organized and communicative individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Video Production Assistant is expected to work between 40 – 50 hours weekly, with an average 5-day work week. Schedules are tentative and hours expected can be dependent on business levels, special events, holidays, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in all stages of video production, from pre-production to final delivery.
  • Manage media assets, including organizing and archiving footage, maintaining file naming conventions, and ensuring easy access for the

team.

  • Edit video content for social media, websites, and other audio / visual platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project
  • objectives.

  • Create and integrate motion graphics, transitions, and special effects as needed.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm, storyboard, and develop engaging video concepts.
  • Assist in on-site video shoots, including setup, lighting, and camera operation when necessary.
  • Ensure audio and visual elements meet high-quality standards and are synchronized.
  • Perform quality checks on final exports to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and recommend new tools or techniques to enhance production quality

  • EDUCATION / WORKING KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • 1-2 years of experience in video editing or production (2-3 years preferred).
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Experience with motion graphics and special effects tools (e.g., After Effects).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and the types of video content that perform well on each.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented and efficient, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of audio editing and color correction is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
