It is imperative that all employees focus on efficiency, quality, continuous improvement, and most importantly, safety.*JOB DESCRIPTION*The Project Manager?s primary function is to coordinate and exercise functional authority for the planning, organization, control, integration and completion of customer projects related to the introduction of new products for new customers and new products for the existing customer base. Upon receipt of the customer order this position serves as the focal point for all project-related communications with the customers to ensure constant and consistent service. This position is responsible for partnering with all involved functions, specifically sales, engineering and manufacturing, to organize and support critical aspects to meet customer delivery targets.*SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE** Must have 5 years project management experience in automotive metal stamping and welding manufacturing.* Hold a University Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.* Strong CAD knowledge: 3D Models, Drawings and GD&T.* Strong Die Build Knowledge.* Project Management Designation (PMP) or P.Eng preferred.* Excellent English communication skills both written & verbal are a must.* Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision and directions.* Must be able to work well under pressure and able to utilize problem solving techniques effectively.*SPECIFIC DUTIES** Oversee initial project launch documentation and take leading role in managing its start up to production.* Effectively communicate information, issues, project status and concerns to superiors, managers and project teams.* Make sure that all project and operations documentation is complete, accurate and kept up to date.* Work closely with Project Management Team to support new product launches, engineering changes implementation and product/process continuous improvement initiatives and related activities.* Provide estimates on tooling, special purpose gauges/fixtures, cycle times, capital costs to assist with quotation process.* Responsible for manufacturing processes, equipment, fixtures and tooling design and development.* Tooling and equipment sourcing, development, progress tracking and validation as required.* Understands and follows the APQP process with an overall understanding of the underlying processes and requirements such as DFMEA, DVPR, Design Review.* Responsible for developing and executing the project timeline meeting the needs of the customer.* Responsible for risk assessment and risk management, specifically the engineering risk, the initial design assessment or concept and driving the design to maturity within project timing and budget.* Acts as voice of the customer to the organization and voice of the Company to the customer.* Lead review meetings and ensure that project targets are met by holding participants accountable.*COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS** $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year salary.* Company paid Healthcare Benefits after 3 months.* Pension Plan available after 1 year.* Personal Protective Equipment Safety Allowance provided.* Metrican is accessible by public transportation._Metrican is an equal opportunity employer who provides an inclusive and diverse work environment.
