Primary Purpose of Position: The Videographer will shoot and edit creative and engaging videos for Family Ministries, with a focus in leading projects for the children’s ministry (The Zone). This role will collaborate with the Associate Video Director to conceptualize ideas, pre-produce, shoot, and edit video content that resonates with our 1st through 5th grade audience. This role will also collaborate with the Family Ministries video team, to help produce other content for various ministries, including both United and Clubhouse.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, plan, execute, and deliver video projects from start to finish, including pre-production tasks (storyboarding, scriptwriting), filming, and post-production (editing, color grading, sound design, etc.) for the Zone and Family Ministries
  • Collaborate with Zone to determine the creative goals and vision for their video projects
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, actively contributing and pitching innovative ideas
  • Collaborate closely with the Children’s Content Coordinator/Children’s Creative Coordinator during production phases
  • Help the Family Ministries Associate Video Director with determining personnel, locations, and equipment needed for Zone video projects
  • Post-produce engaging content in both Premiere and After Effects by adding sound design, graphics, keying, etc. and other elements as needed
  • Develop and invest in interns and volunteers
  • Assist in managing and sharing video content across various platforms (i.e., Youtube)
  • Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as needed or required, including collaboration with the Creative weekend video team for shoots and projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in video production (filming, editing, producing)
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
  • Passion for cinematography and storytelling
  • Ability to provide examples of work online
  • Willingness to work some weekends, and travel as needed
  • Relational, able to collaborate with and lead others on creative projects with a heart of humility
  • Teachable, always willing to learn from other people
  • Proactive, with a high level of organization, detail, and time management skill
  • Adaptable, flexible and positive under tight deadlines, works well in fast-paced environments
  • Passionate, always finding ways to improve and increase our effectiveness
  • Knowledgeable of cameras, equipment, filming, editing, and audio techniques, and current trends in video
  • Strong communication skills; both verbally and written
  • Proficient in meeting task deadlines and timelines
  • Perform all duties, conduct and live by the Grace Family’s Honor Code and Statement of Faith
  • Regular attendance at one of Grace Family Church’s multiple locations
  • Continuation of education and spiritual growth tracks required, to include Freedom Course
  • Maintain the appropriate level of confidentiality for ministry and/or the organization

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills, to include typing, emailing, etc.
  • Experience or willing to learn Grace Family’s software/computer programs to include: The Rock, Planning Center Online, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack, etc. where needed
  • Display leadership qualities, ability to delegate and empower others
  • Highly self-motivated and detail focused
  • Ability to relate and connect with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in other Adobe Creative Cloud apps
  • Previous experience working for a church/non-profit

Environmental Factors:

  • This role may be performed indoors and in an office setting
  • This role may be performed outside of an office setting, and/or outdoors; must be comfortable working in a variety of temperatures and climates, to include excessive heat or cold.

Travel:

  • Travel may be expected for the position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
