Video Editor

Job Overview
Time Mission is hiring a full time Video Editor to assist in the production of in-game and brand content. Optimal candidates will specialize in highly-polished video editing techniques, and experience working with both live-action and animated video assets. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Necessary Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years experience with Premiere Pro
• Minimum 4 years experience with After Effects
• Minimum 3 years experience working in video editing (or a related field)
• Proficient in post-production (color correction, audio leveling, motion graphics)
• Strong archival management skills
• Excels implementing edits based on feedback
• A passion for gaming, entertainment, and design

Ideal Qualifications

• The ability to work in-person (R.I. / M.A. resident, or willing to relocate)
• Bachelors Degree in Film or related field
• Experience in animation, particularly digitally rendered animation
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator and/or InDesign
• Familiarity with Blender
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine

More on the Role

• Regarding videography vs video editing: Time Mission has a sizable archive of raw, professional video content. For that reason, this role may include some seasonal videography, but the average day would be dedicated to editing preexisting content.
• Regarding actively animating vs editing animated content: It should be noted that this role is not expected to animate rendered content- Time Mission’s preexisting full time 3D Artist has that covered. The Video Editor would be utilizing that animated content to produce materials like ‘in-game cut scenes’, ‘multiple game ending scenarios’, or combining animated and live-action video as marketing materials. That being said, the Video Editor is expected to be able to animate graphic text.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
