From scenic backroads and blooming farmlands to award-winning eateries and artisan businesses, Visit Oakdale is dedicated to showcasing the best our town has to offer. We strive to capture and share the stories that make Oakdale a must-visit destination for travelers, families, and road-trippers alike.

We are looking for talented, creative, and detail-oriented Photographers, Videographers, and Photo/Video Editors to join our on-call team. In this role, you will help capture and produce engaging content that highlights the essence of Oakdale, California. This includes shooting at key attractions, local events, and scenic locations, as well as editing content to create high-quality visuals for Visit Oakdale’s marketing and promotional efforts.

This is a freelance/contract position, perfect for someone with a flexible schedule and a passion for storytelling through visuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Photography: Capture high-quality photos of Oakdale’s landmarks, events, and businesses for digital and print marketing.
• Videography: Film short-form and long-form videos to showcase Oakdale’s culture, attractions, and community.
• Editing: Edit photo and video content for use across social media, websites, and promotional materials.
• Work closely with the Visit Oakdale team to understand creative goals and maintain brand consistency.
• Deliver projects within agreed-upon deadlines.
• Maintain and manage your own equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in photography, videography, or photo/video editing.
• Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or similar tools).
• A strong portfolio showcasing photography or videography work.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Oakdale or a willingness to learn about its attractions and community is a plus.
• Access to your own professional camera and editing equipment is required.
