Junior Compositor:
12-month contract (May to April)

House of Nerds is a small visual effects company built around supporting the creative development and post requirements for both IMAX and feature film productions. We’re a young enthusiastic team inspired and driven to innovate. We’re looking for team members who are self-motivated and can apply themselves to a variety of post-production challenges.

Job Description:
❖ 12-month contract, upon completing a 6-week probation training period
❖ The position is suitable for recent graduates, or current students looking for an entry-level role in VFX
❖ The job will require you to be able to work across multiple projects and formats
❖ Willing to learn new software and compositing workflows
❖ Assist team members with plate setup, tracking, roto and cleanup work
❖ Contribute to the development of a number of Australian IMAX and feature films

Qualifications:
❖ Experience in either After Effects, Fusion, Nuke or similar
❖ Understands the principal concepts of compositing
❖ Strong artistic skills and a critical eye for maintaining a high level of execution
❖ Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve
❖ An understanding of a range of additional software typically found in post-production
❖ 3D Stereo experience beneficial
