We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Media Producer – Videographer. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with all video and photography projects company wide
- Assists with all video and photography content for Oaklawn’s social media outlets, marquee and video wall.
- Assists with the production of in-house commercials and promos
- Writes scripts/copy as needed
- Assists with digital media
- Utilizes graphic and video skills to help create and schedule content for the marquee, video wall and in-house TVs
- Assists the graphic design team as needed, especially with digital media content
- Assists marketing with promotions and captures video/photos of the events
- Assists marketing with special events such as concert series and captures video/photos of the events (as allowed by the concert performers)
- Helps maintain archives of all videos and photographs for racing, dining, event center, hotel, casino, and spa
- Assists with the collection of b-roll for all racing and marketing projects and events
- Responsible for multiple video / photography projects pertaining to (but not limited to) social media content, Racing, Casino, Hotel, Event Center, Spa, Oaklawn Anywhere and all Oaklawn Restaurants.
- Assists outside networks (i.e. FOX Sports, NBC, TVG) with all racing video needs
- Brochure photography – racing, dining, event center, hotel, casino, and spa
- Assisting Human Resources with recruiting videos, Team Member Awards Photos and Team Member Banquet video
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 2+ years’ experience in recording and editing high-definition video and still photography
- Excellent technical knowledge of all aspects of video production, including camera operation, editing, and postproduction.
- Strong communication, written and social media skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively and often independently.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere/After Effects and/or Final Cut Pro. A proven advanced proficiency level with Photoshop and Illustrator is a strong plus.
- Expertise and mastery of video production process, camera operation, different camera and lens types, microphones, proper filming techniques, lighting design, and post-production.
- Experience covering live events.
- Understanding of technical requirements for delivery of assets on various distribution channels.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory responsibilities in this role.

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
