Job Description:
As a Video Editor/Videographer at BKS Studio Miami, your expertise will be essential in driving the creative development and execution of diverse video and design projects. We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve Studio. The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in project management tools, exhibit the ability to under minimal supervision, and thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
This position will initially be offered as a contractor role, requiring on-site work at our Miami studio, with the potential to transition to a full-time position. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory, and proficiency in Portuguese will be considered a significant asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Editing: Edit and produce high-quality video content for various platforms, ensuring smooth transitions, effective storytelling, and alignment with project goals.
- Creative Development: Lead and support the creative process, from conceptualization to final execution, ensuring that projects align with client objectives and branding.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including videographers, photographers, and project managers, to deliver cohesive, high-impact creative solutions.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously using project management software to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate ideas and feedback with both internal teams and clients in a clear, concise manner.
- Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer
- Shoot Video at our studio (Podcast, blackboxm, and Green screen)
- Live Stream video and podcast (in-house and remote) to YouTube, Facebook, and other streaming platforms.
- Familiarly with high-quality Sony FX6, FX3, A74, BMP6KP series cameras and zoom/prime lenses.
- Color Correction (SLog 2-3) as well as utilizing LUTs.
- Familiar with lighting (indoor and outdoor). Take a brief to grasp the production team’s needs and specifications. Improving and correcting lighting, coloring, and faulty footage.
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video clips.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Sound recording and mixing experience.
Requirements:
· Bilingual: Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory, and proficiency in Portuguese will be considered a significant asset.
- Software Proficiency:
- Adobe Photoshop: 3+ years (preferred)
- Adobe InDesign: 3+ years (preferred)
- Adobe Illustrator: 3+ years (preferred)
- Project Management Software: 3 years (preferred)
- Experience: Proven ability to lead and support creative development within a collaborative team environment.
- Independent Worker: Ability to work under minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship is required, and candidates must be verified through E-Verify.
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor and/or Audio. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Blackmagic Resolve Studio, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, and 3D).
- Training with our workflow process and production equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
- Ability to work on a tight schedule.
