Full job description

Position Description:

If hired, you will be responsible for recording video and audio of legal depositions or other similar events as directed by Sacramento Legal Video Center (SLVC). You will offer our services and products to attorneys. You will work as a partner with court reporters in assisting attorneys. And, you will professionally represent SLVC as an independent agent of the courts, displaying professional conduct and courtesy at all times.

Requirements:

Flexibility

  • Ability to adjust to changes in scheduling
  • Availability to accept jobs on short notice and to travel when needed
  • Arrive at job site at least 1 hour before the noticed time of the job
  • Set up, operate and tear down recording equipment at various locations
  • Some remote work will be required

Professionalism

  • Dress in professional business attire and be well-groomed
  • Sit quietly for long periods of time while appearing attentive
  • Be discrete and impartial in all matters

Customer Service

  • Display patience and understanding with potentially impatient or uncooperative people
  • Communicate clearly and effectively
  • Inspire client confidence in your ability and understanding of the services you will provide
  • Consistently provide excellent customer service to all participants of the job assigned at all times

Problem Solving

  • Quickly and discretely resolve any issues, technical or otherwise, that may occur during the job assigned
  • Diagnose and correct any audio, video, or computer issues
  • Acute attention to detail

Desired, but not Required:

  • Prior experience as a videographer
  • Knowledge of photography/videography basic skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
