Full job description

Looking for videographers for live dance competition events. This job involves setup and breakdown, with gear provided from us at the event. No equipment is necessary, and no post event work is required.

Operation during the event involves operation of a stationary camera, monitoring of audio levels, and recording of event via an announced number system on an Apple laptop. As such, it is important to be present, clearly hear routine numbers, annotate them on the laptop, and always continue to listen in to the event for start and stop cues.

These events are often all day, fast paced with long hours, but with appropriate breaks. You have the option to operate the camera as you wish to alleviate the time, provided the equipment, or you may bring your own support system, provided they are allowed onto the premise. Food will be provided by the event, from us, or you will receive meal compensation as necessary.

Same Day Productions provides photo and video for this, and many other events throughout the year, using a network of contractors just like you. Not only are we looking for people at this event, but events just like this here, and anywhere that’s just a short flight away. If this sounds like something you can continue to do for the long haul, while getting to travel, make sure you let us know. Local, regional, or national. Preference will be given to those who can travel with us to other events just like this. Room, travel and incidentals are always covered, plus you’ll get the opportunity to work and learn alongside your peers from other parts of the states.

  • No experience required, but preferred. Familiarity with the dance world a plus.
  • Must be 18+ and pass a background check; preference to those with a license to drive, and 21+.
  • Event length is usually weekends, Friday to Sunday, for the whole day.
  • Setup/breakdown is usually the same day of the planned events. If that changes, you will be notified and paid for those hours.
  • Hotel room is provided so that you can get proper rest.
  • Flights are provided for the day before. Plan for the extra day of travel.
  • Payment for this event is $300 daily. Invoice at the end of the event, and you will be paid out net 15.

Thanks for giving us a peek! We look forward to hearing from you!
