Primary Purpose of Position: The Videographer will develop both creative, engaging, and impactful videos for Family Ministries, with a focus on youth ministry (United). This role will collaborate with the Associate Video Director and the United team to conceptualize ideas, pre-produce, shoot, and edit content that not only resonates with our youth audience, but helps move their faith into action.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, plan, execute, and deliver video projects from start to finish, including pre-production tasks (storyboarding, scriptwriting), filming, and post-production (editing, color grading, sound design, etc.)
- Collaborate with United to determine the creative goals and vision for their video projects
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, actively contributing and pitching innovative ideas
- Help the Family Ministries Associate Video Director with determining personnel, locations, andequipment needed for United video projects
- Collaborates closely with United Associate Art Director for the duration of a project for visuals
- Post-produce engaging content, by adding sound design, graphics, and other elements
- Create engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms
- Remain current on emerging trends, techniques, and technologies to enhance video content quality
- Assist in managing and sharing video content across various platforms (i.e., Youtube, Instagram, etc.)
- Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as needed or required, including collaboration with the children’s ministry videographer and team on shoots and edits
- Is engaged with United youth on Wednesday nights and willing to travel to multiple campus locations
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience in video production (filming, editing, producing)
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
- Possess a flexible work schedule; ability to work Wednesday evenings and some weekends as requiredby youth ministry events
- Supply demo reel and examples of online work
- Relational, able to collaborate with and lead others on creative projects with a heart of humility
- Teachable, always willing to learn from other people
- Proactive, with a high level of organization, detail, and time management skill
- Adaptable, flexible and positive under tight deadlines, works well in fast-paced environments
- Passionate, always finding ways to improve and increase our effectiveness
- Knowledgeable of cameras, equipment, filming, editing, and audio techniques, and current trends invideo
- Strong communication skills; both verbally and written
- Perform all duties, conduct and live by the Grace Family’s Honor Code and Statement of Faith
- Regular attendance at one of Grace Family Church’s multiple locations
- Continuation of education and spiritual growth tracks required, to include Freedom Course
- Maintain the appropriate level of confidentiality for ministry and/or the organization
Preferred Skills:
- Experience or willing to learn Grace Family’s software/computer programs to include: The Rock, Planning Center Online, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack, etc. where needed
- Proficiency in other Adobe Creative Cloud apps
- Previous experience working at a church or non-profit preferrable
- Highly self-motivated and detail focused
- Ability to relate and connect with people of all ages and backgrounds
- Proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
Environmental Factors:
- This role may be performed indoors, in an office setting and/or performed outside of an office setting, and/or outdoors; must be comfortable working in a variety of temperatures and climates, to include excessive heat or cold.
Travel:
- A percentage of travel time is expected for the position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
