Media Team Assistant Job Description
Position: Media Team Assistant, Videographer/Photographer & Editor
Location: Tampa, FL
Role Overview:
MG Enterprises is seeking a Media Team Assistant to support our lead videographer and media team in capturing and producing engaging video content. This part-time role focuses on assisting with the setup and filming of live events, VIP sessions, and behind-the-scenes content for social media and internal purposes. The ideal candidate has a passion for media production, an eye for capturing candid moments, and the ability to support quick content turnaround.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Media Capture: Assist in setting up camera angles, adjusting lighting, and prepping equipment for live sessions, VIP days, and other events.
- BTS Content: Capture behind-the-scenes (BTS) content, including candid moments, short-form video clips, and still photography for social media platforms.
- Footage Management: Upload and organize footage promptly, ensuring all media is properly labeled and accessible for the media team and editors.
- Content Support: Assist the media team with capturing content for social media, such as photos, short form video, etc.
- Event Assistance: Travel occasionally for events to assist with media capture and equipment setup, ensuring smooth execution of media operations.
- Office Assistance: Set up and manage the physical environment for events (VIP days, Mastermind sessions, boardroom setup, etc.).
- Handle guest management: welcoming, setting up mics, ensuring guest comfort, etc.
- Manage meal orders and coordinate with team members for event support.
- Oversee basic office support, such as cleaning and organizing equipment after use.
Communication:
- We use Slack for all internal communications; you should feel comfortable with over-communicating, providing context, and responding promptly.
- Collaborate with the media team in regular check-ins and meetings to ensure smooth workflow and delivery of content.
Proactivity & Attention to Detail:
- Anticipate media needs and take initiative without prompting.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring all content is high-quality and delivered on time.
Requirements:
- Basic experience with videography, photography, and video editing tools.
- Knowledge of camera setup, lighting, and basic media equipment.
- Familiarity with social media content creation, particularly Reels and short-form videos.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and upload content promptly.
- Ability to work independently and assist the lead videographer as required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for events and work flexible hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Experience in social media content creation and management.
- A portfolio of previous photography/videography work (even if at a junior level).
Flexibility & Availability:
- Regular Weeks (¾ weeks/month): 2-3 days a week (8:30 AM – 2:00 PM). Monday, Thursday, or Monday, Thursday, Friday
- Event Weeks (¼ weeks/month): 6 days (2 days at 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM; 4 days at 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM).
- Approximately 58 hours/75 month in total. Monday – Saturday
- Be available to travel for key events and manage fluctuating event schedules, including occasional weekends or evenings.
Salary:
- Part-Time: $20-25/hr, based on experience and availability.
