Position Overview:

COS CON is seeking a creative and organized Multimedia Journalist to join our team in a temporary capacity for the first three months, with a transition to a part-time role starting in January 2025. This position is perfect for a dynamic individual who excels at video content creation, storytelling, and fostering client relationships. You will be working on-site with service-based clients in the Columbia Metropolitan Area, guiding them through multimedia projects, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create engaging video content tailored to client needs.

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, guiding them through conversational content creation.

• Ensure all video content is properly edited and distributed to client folders on a monthly basis.

• Travel to various client locations within the Columbia area to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Juggle multiple client projects, staying organized and focused on deadlines.

• Submit video content for review and ensure timely approval.

Ideal Candidate & Required Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate is a relationship-oriented, personable professional with strong organizational and communication skills, who is comfortable collaborating with clients and handling multiple projects at once.

• High school diploma required; advanced degree in multimedia, journalism, or digital content creation preferred.

• 1-3 years of experience in videography and digital content creation.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required, as the position involves frequent travel to client locations.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $15 – $25 per hour.

• Travel Compensation: Mileage reimbursement for up to 50 miles/day, at a rate of $0.50/mile. For example, 50 miles x $0.50/mile = $25/day.

Position Details:

• Temporary Role: October 2024 – December 2024

• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

• Part-Time Role: Starting January 2025

• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (unchanged).
