Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Videographer/Editor to join our podcast production team. This role will be responsible for filming and editing high-quality podcast episodes, operating camera and audio equipment, color grading, and creating dynamic short-form content for social media platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
As a key part of our production team, you will collaborate with our producer to capture the essence of each interview and bring our audience closer to the compelling stories shared by our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video & Audio Production:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot camera, lighting, and audio equipment to capture high-quality podcast recordings.
- Ensure proper framing, focus, and sound quality during live shoots.
- Maintain and update gear, ensuring everything is in top working condition.
- Post-Production & Editing:
- Use AutoPod (or similar software) to assemble full-length podcast episodes with precision and efficiency.
- Edit footage to enhance visual and audio quality, syncing audio and video perfectly.
- Color grade video footage to ensure consistent and high-quality visuals across episodes.
- Short-Form Content Creation:
- Work with the producer to identify engaging moments from the podcast episodes for short-form content.
- Edit and format these clips for social media, optimizing for engagement on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Ensure brand consistency in all content, including graphics, transitions, and titles.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the producer to achieve the desired creative direction and overall vision of each episode.
- Provide creative input on content ideas, style, and improvements to elevate the visual experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a videographer and editor, preferably in podcasting, video interviews, or content creation.
- Strong understanding of camera, lighting, and audio equipment and their setup.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar video editing software.
- Experience with color grading.
- Knowledge of creating short-form video content tailored for social media platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Passion for storytelling, with a strong eye for captivating visuals and audio.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of podcast editing workflows and audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Audition).
- Experience with motion graphics, transitions, and titles for enhanced video production.
- Familiarity with trends in social media and short-form content strategies.
