Full job description

We are seeking a videographer/photographer who has a gift and a real passion for their work. Must be local and be able to work on site full-time.

We need someone with an eye for photography, video, cinematography, editing and more. This creative role is the backbone of our marketing department. We need someone who is willing to bring their creative side but be willing to learn how we run our business. This role requires the ability to be tactful, meet expectations and quotas and align our vision for the company.

The person in this position will play a big part in our marketing team and be responsible for all aspects of video production from planning, shooting, and editing. It is expected for this person to be self-managed during post-production and deliver videos in a timely manner. While technical ability is important, we believe personality is just as equal. We are looking for someone who works well with others, communicates well, is comfortable with sharing insights, and has the ability to take lead. We emphasize having someone who is an all-round great person to have in the workplace while also having the ability to film and edit videos.

We have all of the tech/gear you will need, you just need to know how to use it (and well).

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Solid 5+ years professional experience as a videographer working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced educational, agency, broadcast, or production environment
  • Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail
  • Demonstrable knowledge of videography and photography standards, techniques, and formats
  • Strong editing and post-production abilities
  • Experience producing content for popular social media and other means of online distribution
  • Strong technical experience using, recommending, and maintaining related software and equipment: including cameras and lenses, lighting and audio, and computer hardware
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and related professional and amateur design software; experience with Office 365 products, cloud storage, file transfer systems, etc.
  • Strong, professional, and courteous communication skills and ability to articulate ideas, pitch and present content, and constructively receive and solicit positive and negative feedback; keen attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and effectively on concurring projects
  • Physical ability to move and hold recording equipment for long periods
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, follow detailed instructions, and balance multiple deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with the team
  • Organized and structured project management
  • Ability to setup and take down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment
  • Flexibility to work at other local locations occasionally, and possibly travel a few times per year
  • Professional look and attire

Position is on-site with no remote option.

Start Date: Immediately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Dependent on experience

Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Occasional work outside of business hours may occur.
