Note: Ideal candidates will live in NYC, the Hudson Valley, or Capital Region of NY State, though remote candidates will also be considered depending on the project’s needs.

Job Overview:

Are you a videographer with excellent video skills, looking for a way to merge your talents with Catholic content? Do you know how to enjoy your work while staying focused and delivering exceptional results for clients? We invite you to consider joining the production team of St. Hildegard Media! We are seeking a talented and versatile Videographer to join us on an on-call (two weeks advanced notice), project-by-project basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Film and produce high-quality video content, focusing on educational materials and online courses.
• Collaborate with team members to understand the author’s or content creator’s vision and bring it to life through video.
• Balance creativity with a results-oriented mindset, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet high standards of quality.
• Accept and implement constructive feedback to continually improve video content.
• Maintain excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills throughout the production process.
• Show a willingness to serve others and contribute to the Catholic Church through media that is both transformative and impactful.
• Lead and direct video shoots for online courses, ensuring that the technical and creative aspects align with the project’s goals and maintain a cohesive vision.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a videographer, with a strong portfolio of educational content.
• Proficiency in sound engineering and lighting techniques.
• Knowledge of lighting equipment and setup (gaffer skills).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Naturally curious and open to learning new techniques and technologies.
• Interest in and commitment to filming content that aligns with the values of good, true, and beautiful.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a strong interest in creating content that is good, true, and beautiful.
• A creative mindset with a unique artistic perspective.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in the media or publishing industry.
• Solid grasp of Catholic teachings and values.
• Strong understanding of video editing techniques and proficiency in software like Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve, allowing for smooth transitions between shooting and post-production.
• Previous work with online course production.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello.
