Junior Video Editor

Overview
We are looking for a talented and creative Part-time Video Editor to join our production team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about video creation and editing, and who are eager to contribute to various projects, and grow their skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

● Edit video content for various platforms such as social media, websites, and promotional campaigns.

● Collaborate with directors and other team members to understand project requirements and visions.

● Trim footage and put together the rough and final cuts, pending the project and skill-level, ensuring logical sequencing and smooth running.

● Input music, dialogues, graphics, effects, and enhancing video colors.

● Ensure all projects are edited and delivered on time, maintaining a consistent style and quality.

● Archive footage for future use and manage video libraries per company post-workflows.

Qualifications:

● Video Editing Experience: 2 years (*Required)

● Proven experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects).

● Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.

● Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity, etc.

● Excellent communication and organizational skills.

● Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.

● Ability to Commute: Chicagoland Area (Required)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
