Job Role: Social Media Video Editor
About Us: Join our boutique social media and digital marketing agency based in the heart of Fulham! We are a young company working with some incredible clients across London, including some epic A-list celebs . We’re on the lookout for a passionate, talented Video Editor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in the dynamic field of social media and digital marketing, reporting directly to our Creative Content Manager.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Edit raw footage into polished videos, following brand guidelines to a high production value.
- Create engaging video content that aligns with the client’s brand tone and objectives.
- Work closely with our videographer/photographer, and other team members to understand project objectives and creative direction.
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Incorporate feedback from clients and internal teams into the editing process while maintaining creative integrity.
File Organisation:
- Adhere to file structures set out by the Creative Content Manager.
- Ensure all edits are backed up & uploaded to our shared Google Drive.
- Work with the Creative Content Manager to update and maintain content calendars’ video content, ensuring consistent and timely posting.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the Creative Content Manager and marketing team to develop and implement ideas for Video/Photoshoots.
- Stay updated with the latest social media trends, best practices, and tools to incorporate into video edits.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions to drive innovative and visually appealing content.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Creative Content Manager and other team members to ensure consistency in brand messaging across all platforms.
- Participate in meetings and client calls to gain insights into account management and client relations.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in video editing tools, particularly Davinci Resolve/Premiere Pro. Knowledge of After Effects & the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Motion Graphics and Graphics design skills.
- Proven experience in social media video editing or a related role – agency experience is a bonus but not essential!
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines.
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
- A bachelor’s degree in Media/Film/TV Marketing or a related field is preferred.
